As Information & Communication Technology (ICT) has become an essential and integrated part of today's living, people have to show that they are able to use a computer and use various software applications to process, print or send words, numbers, tables, symbols and audio-visual information. And the best way to prove competence in ICT is to have a qualification in computer applications, needed by every business and organization. At a later stage you may want to upskill yourself and undertake the Advanced Qualifications, or a Specialized Qualification - ICDL provides this learning pathway. ACDLE's Training Director, Mr. Aldric Brooks, has over 16 years of experience as an I.C.T. Training in the United Kingdom, a holder of the ICDL Expert status and has been involved with the training and implementation this world-wide recognized qualification for over 11 years in the UK. Ongoing projects at the moment are the embedding of the ICDL into High School ICT curricula (St Columbans College, Lingayen, Contact: nickvillamil@yahoo.com.ph), and the introduction of a distance learning portal.
